I just created the website for my new company, Working Words. The domain name is myworkingwords.com. The tagline for the company is Words that work for you. Working Words offers compelling content for websites and blogs, readable technical documentation, and resumes for all professions.

Here are some highlights of my site:

Welcome – You have a website that needs some compelling content, or you have a new product and need documentation to go along with it, or maybe you need a resume for an upcoming interview. If you hire me for any of these projects, I will make sure the text is tight and just right.

Web Content - What gets your readers excited and drawn in by the content of your website ? No one wants to slog through a lot of text. Engaging copy, headlines, and images encourage reader interest and site loyalty. Whatever your business is, I can develop and write the content, and design some of the features and presentation that get your target audience interested.

Technical Documentation - I am proficient at editing all phases of documentation–from developmental editing, through copy editing and proofreading. I eliminate wordiness, correct terminology, and offer suggestions for presenting the facts. If your technical material needs an overhaul to make it work for its intended audience, I will make sure the writing is clear, fluent, and well organized. And, I’ll make sure you meet your deadline.

Resumes – Your resume is like a passport. It should always be up-to-date and ready to go. If you’re stumped about how to position yourself, have all of the experience, but don’t know how to promote it, I can help define what you’re looking for and describe what you do best.

About – This page talks about how I launched my career as a writer and editor. Starting with a degree in Creative Writing, and moving on to work at large publishing houses (like Bantam Books) and high-profile technical companies (like Microsoft) I now have my own freelance business that offers this experience. I implement both new and traditional ideas, tools, and features to express myself and help others do the same.
